Emmanuelle Gauchier

Emmanuelle Gauchier holds a bachelor's degree in social science from the Université de Montréal. This led her to begin her career in Montreal's youth centers. From 2011 to 2013, she will work with young offenders and young girls in shelters. In 2013, she decided to push her limits and move to Nunavik to become a parenting skills assessor for Inuit communities. In 2016, following several suicide crises in Puvirnituq, her adopted village, Emmanuelle decided to create a non-profit organization that will have as a project a self-esteem camp for young Inuit teenagers in the region. Since 2016, this organization offers a unique experience to young girls of the region in the form of a 4-week day camp where they practice Inuit traditions and non-traditional practices that are part of our society. Ms. Gauchier is continuing her education by studying to obtain her social worker's license and to be able to better respond to the needs of her clients in difficulty.

Her heart is in the north and she is committed to the Nunavik communities.
