Our Vision
The Centre Unicura was created in February 2016. Its mission is to help families in crisis and troubled teens to further help them develop and increase communication amongst members.
Our aim is to develop specific programs dedicated to raise the aspirations of young girls of Nunavik. In order to help them develop their identity in todays world we believe it is necessary that the programs are lead and taught by women within their own community.
Our activities are built with the girls in mind.
From it’s creation, we are very proud of the achievements of the Centre Unicura. We can proudly say that we made a positive impact within the Inuit community. It was also noted that the presence of Centre Unicura is greatly valued in the Northern Region of Quebec. With our continuing successes, we have enjoyed more visibility which allowed us to continue our work and reach more young girls.
